ABOUT Me
Hello,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Heather Wolfe, and I am a mother of two and a Lolli to one adorable three-year-old. I have a bachelor's degree in education and have over nineteen years of teaching experience. I have taught kindergarten through third grade in public schools, tutored at-risk learners, prepared preschoolers for kindergarten, and homeschooled my son for over thirteen years. Nothing gives me more joy than to watch kids grow and realize learning is fun!

I believe that kids at an early age should be shown how fun learning can be. There is no reason that learning has to be boring. I create custom lessons, using interactive, engaging educational games, and activities based on the individualized interests, learning style, and abilities of each child to help cultivate a love of learning and reading. I complete a fun, hands-on informal assessment to see how best I should tailor each lesson to meet your child’s needs.

It has been such a pleasure working with Mrs. Heather. Our son has come such a looooong way. Only in Kindergarten, my son was already struggling on the English side. He wasn't picking up the sight words and he surely wasn't advancing at any a pace to be on track to read at all. Only able to read 15% of the sight words and not able to actually read or even translate them to a sentence, we were terribly worried.

It is now 5 months later and he has made more progress than I could ever imagine! He can now recite, remember, and identify 90% of his sight words, he can read sentences with both sight words and sentences with sounds that he has learned. He can even read words he has never seen before if he is able to sound them out. I am so proud of coming this far. Even his teacher started noticing the difference.
One of the biggest standout I want to recognize is Mrs. Heather's teaching style. She creates an environment catered directly to your child's learning style incorporated with an interactive environment. They are not sitting down pointing at words on a board all day. They are bowling, they are playing with cars, they are drawing in salt, they are playing board games. She is making learning fun!!My son is SUPER active and constantly wanting to move to the next thing, so this was perfect for him. Most of all the passion is there. This makes a HUGE difference when finding the right person for your child.
